Job Overview

Portsmouth Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in the ICU department. The RN will provide critical care, managing high-acuity patients in a Level 2 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center setting.

Key Details

• Location: 333 Borthwick Avenue, Portsmouth, NH 03801
• Start Date: June 30, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three shifts per week)
• Guaranteed Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Four shifts per month required
• Floating: Required on rotation basis, with travelers floating first
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Certifications: BLS & ACLS required
• Charting System: Meditech Expanse
• Must-Have Skills:
• Strong telemetry skills
• Experience titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications
• Chest tube experience
  

Preferred Experience

• Open Heart experience
• Temporary pacing management
• Swan-Ganz catheter experience
  
  

Procedures & Equipment

Core Procedures:

• Intubation
• Central line and arterial line placement
• Chest tube placement
  
  

Equipment Used

• GE Monitors
• Hamilton Bipaps and Hiflows
• Puritan ventilator, Hemospheres
  
  

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 25
• Patient Ratios: 2:1
• Staffing Support:
• No LNAs or PCTs
• 24/7 mid-level providers, trauma surgeons, respiratory therapists
• PT/OT available during day shifts
