Triage Nurse New

Under the direction of the Manager, provides nursing care to patients by working in a collaborative role with providers and other health care staff ensuring a high quality of personalized patient care. Conducts phone triage and sorts lab and x-ray results per provider. Provides accurate documentation of patient information for licensed health care provider’s review and prioritizes care according to assessment. Administration of medication inventory. Provides patient education regarding licensed health care provider’s findings, recommendations or necessary follow up; answers patient questions directly or on the telephone within the limits of his/her knowledge and medical practice policies. Communicate prescriptions to pharmacies, per provider instruction. Review and answer patients’ automated messages. Refills prescriptions. Other duties as assigned. Current licensure by the Massachusetts State Board of Nursing required.
