The Operating Room at BID Milton is a close-knit team with a shared vision for providing exceptional care and creating a healthy workplace. We have seven operating rooms open for elective procedures Monday to Friday, with night and weekend on-call teams for urgent cases. We provided specialized services to our surgical patients to include orthopedics, robotics, OTO-HNS, plastics, gynecology, genitourinary, general, vascular and neurology. We have a mix of both inpatient and outpatient cases daily with an experienced and professional PACU team.

This position is full-time, day shifts.

Beth Israel Deaconess Milton is seeking a 36 hour full-time Operating Room Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the total care of patients within assigned unit.

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current licensure by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. BSN Preferred. 2-3 years current Operating Room experience preferred Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Competencies:

Written Communications: Ability to summarize and communicate in English moderately complex information in varied written formats to internal and external customers. Oral Communications: Ability to comprehend and communicate complex verbal information in English to medical center staff, patients, families and external customers. Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of concepts, practices and policies with the ability to use them in complex varied situations. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve the operations of immediate work group by offering ideas, identifying issues, and respecting team members. Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service and staff training to meet customer service standards and expectations for the assigned unit(s). Resolves service issues in the assigned unit(s) in a timely and respectful manner.
